Celebrating one year of the Botany Shop and all the ways we grow together. One year ago, The Botany Shop opened our doors at 909 Portage Avenue in the heart of the Near Northwest Neighborhood. Since then, we've welcomed thousands of plant lovers of all experiences and each of you have helped us grow into the plant shop we are today. We hope you’ll join us in this special evening celebrating our one-year anniversary with a botanical Drag Show + Story Slam featuring the finest botanical drag queens in the United States: Miss Leidy (The Plant Lady) from New York City, and Fertile Liza from Bend, Oregon. DJ BlckLuxx will keep the music flowing throughout the evening. Guests are encouraged to attend in their finest "Plant Pride" attire, and we'll have all the fixings to create your very own flower crown for the evening - your own piece of uniquely-you botanical art. All ages are welcome at this event and no alcohol will be served. Bring an appetite and enjoy fare from local food trucks. This evening is the *second* part of our full-day Plant Pride celebration. Check out our Maker Market and Festival happening from 10a-4p earlier in the day.
