Free family workshop at the EAC with Michaela Marchi and Angela Lyonsmith! Create art using natural materials to connect with nature. Inspired by my mother’s artwork and our own experiences in nature, we will create something magical with raw materials from nature! Working to understand the term “flow” as it relates to the act of creating, as coined by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, and the value of maintaining a connection to the Earth, this workshop will give us a moment to reflect on our experiences being in nature, to notice the beautiful balance, symmetry, patterns, cycles and colors all around us in the natural world, and to transform our observations into inspiration for creative time together. We will be using sticks, rocks, leaves, organic materials like twine, and more! And we will be joined by Artist/Art Therapist Angela Lyonsmith! (All ages welcome) Materials included!
