Michael was beloved in the Houston commodities scene. To celebrate his life, we are supporting Independence Initiative in Michael's honor. Date: June 2, 2022 Time: 3:30pm Location: Kirby Ice House Michael was beloved in the Houston commodities scene. A consummate networker, a trusted counsel and a dear friend to many of us. Michael tragically passed away in October last year. He was a huge supporter of his wife’s non-profit work at Independence Initiative to empower marginalized students to become academically independent. To celebrate his life, join us in supporting this charity and raise a glass in his name. We will be hosting memorial drinks at one of his favorite spots in town. We encourage all those who knew him to come along and raise money in his honor. Here at Independence Initiative, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2021, we have been determined to make a positive impact on the way students learn. The core of our efforts is to empower students to take ownership of their learning through our team’s passion for self-regulation and brain-friendly strategies. Our educational consultants provide coaching and content tutoring to teach students the skills they need to be academically independent. Our goal through Independence Initiative is to provide these services to economically disadvantaged students. Through all of our endeavors, we hope to impact the educational path of students by helping them discover a love for learning. Hosted by HC Group
