To evaluate seepage characteristics of the abutment and foundation materials near Guernsey Powerplant. The non-toxic red dye will be introduced into the reservoir near the powerplant intake structure. The dye is expected to flow downstream with releases and rapidly dissipate.
However, it is possible that the dye may be noticeable for several days in the proximity of the dam and powerplant. Proper coordination is being performed with local agencies.
