We are hiring for a Yard Forklift Operator: . QUICK HIRE APPLIES SO FORWARD YOUR RESUME TODAY AND LETS TALK! . This job is a Temp to Perm Position (after 3 to 4 months) . The following are the usual Daily Duties / Tasks . Loading Trucks . Coordinate truck loading with Dispatch and Yard Lead Communicate via two-way radios Stay on top of pre-loads Get daily drive-in trucks loaded in a timely manner Cage Machine Area * Make sure wire is loaded in cage machines and ready for following day start up . Safety gate or chain behind cage loading is secured All scrap cages are smashed with wheel loader bucket and placed in steel dumpster daily Tip Out * Skids for pallets and headers staged in tip out area . Pipe stands staged in place Gantry crane staged in place Make sure transition from concrete kiln floor to yard is smooth, no bump that bounces pipe during tip out Floor in both kilns are scraped and clean. Concrete waste put in wheel loader bucket and hauled to back of lot onlyHawkeye Headers staged in the header are so cranes can pick up and dip in tank Front Office . Make sure all deliveries at front office are moved to the maintenance area Yard * Yard pipe in a timely manner once QC has been completed and QC stamp applied . Confirm all concrete debris from kilns is taken to the West back end of yard only Monitor trash and wire dumpster levels and let yard lead know two days prior for pick up Assist in marking and flipping pipe in miter lot for cutting vendor. Perform any other duties as needed All of this is done outside in the elements, rain or shine. The work may also include working inside the plant during production.The physical demands of this job include exertion up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Flexibility is needed for workday start times to cover other shifts as needed. . The start time will be 3:30AM with an approximate end of day at 1:30PM.
