Minneapolis Golf Club was designed by Willie Park Jr. and Donald Ross, two of the pre-eminent architects of the golden age of American golf course architecture. MGC opened in 1916 and is one of the oldest clubs in the twin cities metro area. Revered for great routing, strategic merit, and scenic beauty, the effortlessly walkable 18-hole course boasts an incredibly forward thinking classic design featuring a compelling combination of distance, challenge and reward. MGC's classic 100+ year-old turf was fully replaced in 2020 with pure bent grass on all tees, fairways and greens—providing unmatched playing surfaces that are more consistent, faster, disease-resistant and less susceptible to winter damage. Note too that, as mentioned above, the number of total players for this event is limited to 72 and the number of participants in the event from the coaching ranks will be limited to 16 players, in the aggregate. Space is limited and entries will be taken in the order received; once the tournament is full, we will stop accepting entry forms. Upon receipt of your completed registration form and full payment of the appropriate entry fee, we’ll send an email confirming your spot in the field and participation in the event. We hope to see you on August15th for a fun afternoon in support of youth golf in the state of Minnesota and we appreciate you taking the time to consider the opportunity to join SLP in continuing to build the game and support high school golf. Go Park!
