Math rock bass player looking for like-minded folks

Hey there! My name is Mike. I’m a 33 year old white guy. I’ve been playing bass in bands for like 12 years now. I’ve recorded, I’ve toured, and feel well versed in doing the band thing. I’m looking for like-minded folks to start an instrumental rock project that often plays in odd times signatures, or “math rock band” if you will. My musical taste isn’t exclusive to this kind of music, but I used to play in an instrumental trio in my 20s and lately I’ve just really missed it. Basically I’m looking for like-minded folks who enjoy writing songs in weird time signatures and want to play local shows. Some “math rock” bands that are a big influence on me would include Don Caballero, Do Make Say Think, Faraquet, The Fucking Champs, Dianogah, Tera Melos, USCO, Piglet, Ghosts & Vodka and A Minor Forest. If you’ve lived in Seattle for a minute and you’re into this sort of stuff maybe you liked Heavy Petting, Curse League and Postmadonna? I have working gear and access to a practice space.
