Here are the top three stories in Healdsburg today: Healdsburg's baseball season comes to an end with a shutout by Justin-Siena High. The Braves were able to win 7-0 with 11 strikeouts by starter Nick Andrews through 5 innings. The Healdsburg Greyhounds end their season 17-11 after falling in the North Coast Section playoff. (The Press Democrat) Healdsburg's The Madrona has been recognized for its recent renovations. The new restaurant and inn was previously an 1880 ranch house called Madrona Manor. Jay Jeffers purchased the house in 2021 to renovate it with spacious guest rooms and private bungalows across the property's eight acres. Famed chef Jesse Mallgren will still be running the property's Dining Room and Palm Terrace. (Financial Times) Healdsburg's Wine & Food Experience began last Friday with a BBQ fundraising event. The delicious outdoor dining experience occurred near The Matheson with several hundred attendees. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go toward scholarships for students of the Healdsburg High School Future Farmers of America. Foley Family Wines provided a wide variety of locally produced wines to accompany the mouth-watering BBQ. (Facebook) The Healdsburg Farmers' Market is holding a smaller market tomorrow on the Plaza. This market will still have fresh produce, flowers, seafood, baked goods, and much more.
