Great opportunity for captain with a 50-ton or higher U.S. Master captain's license with auxiliary sail endorsement to get out on the water in beautiful Boothbay Harbor, Maine as captain of Schooner Eastwind (65') or Schooner Lazy Jack (38'). We sail from Memorial Day to Columbus Day on two-hour harbor sailing trips up to four times a day. We are looking for a captain who can sail both Eastwind and Lazy Jack on different days, which offers some variety in sail plan and vessel. Responsibilities • Captain public and private two-hour trips. • Train crew and reinforce training and learning. • Perform safety checks and drills. • Check systems and keep ship logs. • Keep vessel clean and organized. • Ensure outstanding passenger experience. Requirements • U.S. Master 50-ton or higher with auxiliary sail. • Outstanding customer service skills. • Pass a pre-employment drug-test. • Participate in random drug testing program through end of season. • Physically able to raise sails and handle lines. • Able to captain at least 2 scheduled days a week or fill in as needed.
