This cat belonged to someone! She showed up looking for food one evening in February. Since coyotes are so bad out here, I brought her inside while I tried to locate her owner. I soon realized she was injured with what is called a tail pull injury. This can happen when they get under the hood of a car to get warm, then when the car is started their tail gets caught in the fan belt or something, often causing permanent nerve damage.
Most of the cats that show up out here are about half feral, but not this one. She was used to being indoors, I think, and is very loving and comfortable around people. I think someone must be missing her and she's missing someone.
I've taken her to the vet a couple times, and did have her scanned for a microchip, but no. If you think this could be your cat, please don't worry about me trying to recover money for the vet bills, cause I wouldn't do that. I'd just like to see her get back to her loving family.
Or if anyone would be interested in helping this sweet girl out and giving her a loving home of her own, please contact me asap. She will be a special needs kitty due to her injury, possibly for the rest of her life; however, she does quite well on her own and uses the litterbox very well. She just needs a little extra help now and then.
This is one of the sweetest cats you'll ever see. I wish I had the time and resources to do more for her but I just can't.
If you are interested in helping this baby, please call or text Jetta or email me, though I'm not great at checking email.
