This girl is so sweet and makes an amazing pet. I got her pre-pandemic with plans to have a house with a yard for her, and that's just not happening any time soon. She is fine in her current enclosure, but will need a larger one soon. A fully enclosed yard in this climate would actually be ideal as long as she can't escape and has plenty of vegetation and hides, along with a water source. Please be aware that this tortoise will grow to be a foot across and at least 40 lbs when she is fully grown. Nowhere near the size and destruction of other popular larger tortoises, but still substantial. She will also live to be over 100 years old.
