I have been fostering a deaf purebred boxer puppy for the past few months-she was rescued from an amish farm. She is 5 months old and current on her vaccinations. She will need her rabies. She responds to sign language and works with a vibration (not shock) collar for communication. She is pretty well potty trained and will go to the door to let you know she needs to go out. She is good with kids and other dogs, although she is jumpy at times, so I do not suggest little kids. She sleeps in her kennel at night just fine, but does not like to be locked up for long periods of time during the day. Her ideal home would be a house with someone home a lot. She will need a fenced in back yard as she is very energetic and will need to get her energy out each day. She walks very well on a leash with a gentle leader. I am hoping to find a home with experience with deaf dogs. I will be very particular about the home she goes to, so if you are interested in her, please email me a bit about your situation.
