Hello and thanks for clicking on my thing. I'm Jay and I am in the area until November. I currently make music in a bedroom. Just as boring as it sounds. So, I am looking to venture out and meet some like minded musicians and creators. I work best, creatively, with others. I like to build songs from ideas and concepts for musical compositions, mostly from random ideas and sources of inspiration. I've been in past bands playing guitar and bass and also playing the part of producer and engineer. I play modular synths, make field recordings, and all kinds of nerdy stuff like that. I am into experimenting and making any kinds of noise, but I am also into formulating structure and making things fit into the musical song structure box. So, Ideally if you are a singer songwriter and want to turn your acoustic song into something lo-fi and dreamy, that would be awesome and possibly possible. (i.e. Vallis Alps, Broadcast, Verite, the XX, etc.) Or, If you like Post Rock, which is my main passion. Let's get loud. (i.e. Russian Circles, This May Destroy You, Lost in Kiev, Caspian, etc.) And, If you are into ambient music and want to keep each other from falling asleep making epic soundscapes. Let's do some coffee and escape. This is a casual project but I am looking for someone or groups of someones who will take it at least half serious and not waste mine or your time. I am also not looking to "go on tour" or "make it big". I just want a dose of endorphins from creating something musically out of space and time. Something we can look back on and say "ahhh, nice."
