A Balance Bike race is open to kids 5 and under, and a dual slalom bike race is open to 5-12 year olds. Register your little one for a fun bike race presented by GT Bicycles. There are two race options available:the Balance Bike race or Dual Slalom! The Balance Bike race is open to kids 5 and under, and will be held on Main Street in Sugarloaf Village. Kids will make their way in small waves through a short but action-packed course from the Base Lodge, up Main Street, and back where they'll be rewarded with cheers, snacks, and prizes.  The Dual Slalom is open to 5-12 years olds. The race will be held on our Dual Slalom course on the Birches slope just below the base lodge, adjacent to the Camping and Vendor locations. The Sugarloaf Trail crew has just re-worked the course and it will be a whole lot of fun! Dual Slalom: A bike with brakes and pedals is required • Helmets are Required • A parent signature will be required day of race Schedule2:30-3pm Day-of Registration on Main Street in the Village, just outside of Guest Services 3:00-3:30pm Balance Bike Race for 5& under 3:30 to 4:30 pm Dual Slalom for 5-12 year olds *Start times subject to change as we get closer to race day FAQsAre helmets required? Yes, all racers are required to wear bike helmets.  My child doesn't have a balance bike, can they participate? We want all kids to be able to participate. While we can't guarantee that extra bikes will be available, we'll do our best to provide a few bikes to borrow.  Are pedal bikes allowed? No, only balance bikes will be allowed.  What if it's raining? The race will be held rain or shine, but may be postponed or cancelled in the event of lightning or extreme weather.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
