Description
Lt. Dan (we call him Liutenant) is a 3 legged Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix. He is about 3 years old. You would never know he was missing a leg. He is very able.
He would probably be best as a one dog family. He can be a little bit aggressive towards some dogs. He is not good with livestock or poultry. He would do best where he has a large yard/acreage to run around. He can only go to a home where he will go both inside and outside. He is house trained, crate trained, and loves going on car rides. He loves people, but will get protective if there are strangers near him. He seems to be pretty good with cats. Not sure how he is with young kids. He is very calm/quiet in the house, loose or crated, but barks if he is left alone penned up outside. Knows sit, stay, come, and high five. He does not dig, but his previous owners said he can be known as an escape artist, so he has to have good fencing. He can not be locked up for hours on end, inside or outside. He loves attention, treats, car rides, and he is a good running buddy. He is a great companion dog. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, and has microchip. $75 rehoming fee. I am willing to drive partway if you don't live in San Antonio area. Desperately have to get rid of him because he doesn't do well with our poultry and livestock. He really is a good dog.
