A great time of year to observe and document the flora and fauna of Dimond Park.
In collaboration with the Friends of Sausal Creek!
Join Wholly H2O for a super fun bioblitz at Dimond Park! Dimond Park is a beautiful green space located in the Dimond District near the upper end of Fruitvale Avenue. Dimond Park is complimented by the lush Sausal Creek that meanders throughout the park. Dedicated community/citizen scientists have already documented and confirmed 240 species in the area, with 64 species of animals and 110 species of plants!
During the BioBliz, we'll spend the first 2.5 hours observing any and all living things with your camera or cell phone, and the last 1/2 hour looking at our observations together and making sure they get added to iNaturalist.
Join us to learn more about the area in which you live, the watershed and the ecosystem residents! Pretty simple and it's a ton of fun. Bring family, friends, snacks and get ready to learn a bunch, share your expertise, and meet your waterhood neighbors. Read more about Wholly H2O's BioBlitzes here.
The event is sponsored by Wholly H2O.
