Hello, I have been looking for group meetings in relation to brain trauma. Specifically for survivors of a stroke. I haven't had any luck with finding one, so I feel like I should establish one myself. Strokes are one of the top causes for disabilities in America. Therefore I was quite surprised to find nothing around the area focused on some sort of support group pertaining to brain trauma, stroke, or a T.I.A. Our entire life has changed drastically.. The life we know now,, is not easy to say the least. Having the chance to be with relatable people and share your thoughts,, feelings,, and questions could be exactly what you're looking for. Everyone is welcome to attend. Come tell your story, vent,, express your frustrations, sadness,, and confusion all with others who understand what you're going through. Or maybe You are a caretaker for someone in the process of recovery from brain trauma, or you might be close with someone that might be in a similar situation and you want to gain perspective about the hardships that we have to face everyday, come and find out first hand. Every stroke is different, as are the individuals that will hopefully attend. I cannot promise you any answers,, but I do promise that we can work some stuff out together.. These meetings are intended for the soul purpose of helping people in a completely judgment free environment. If anyone would be interested in attending a meeting, please let me know.
