About Professor Caffeine & The Insecurities : From Boston, MA, Professor Caffeine & the Insecurities is an emo/pop/prog rock band who are determined to blur the lines between genres. With everything from beautiful harmonies and chaotic guitar parts to epic and anthemic vocals and masterfully orchestrated songs, they’re well on their way. The genesis of the project originated solely from front man, Dan Smith (ex. Emma Ate The Lion), with him going writing and recording first release, Comic Book EP, mostly himself. Dan then recruited drummer, Jesse Stiglich, and keyboardist/pianist, Derek Tanch. Along with other members they recorded their second release, Video Game EP, further progressing their unique sound and style. The band took full form with the addition of guitarists Anthony Puliafico and Joey Pantaleo. Now with they’re debut LP in the works, which is their most collaborative effort yet, they’re a band to keep on your radar.
