It provides a course of instruction with intended learning outcomes. Evaluates participants’ achievement of those same learning outcomes via an examination. Awards a certificate ONLY to those who have taken that specific course and passed that specific examination. This kind of certificate program aims to educate participants, and the examination is used as only a mirror to show students their progress toward learning those specific outcomes. Delivers an assessment based on standard knowledge in the field of Hypnosis. Grants a credential to anyone who meets the assessment standards. It is the role of TRAINING and its relationship to credentialing that sets these two types of credentials apart. Summary: The primary focus of a certificate program is on education/training. The primary focus of professional or personnel certification is independent of education/training. It’s based on the standard of assessment of your knowledge and application of that knowledge with your client. Your certification tells your client that you have been trained, but you have an assessment of your skillset that allows you to post your ability by saying you are certified to perform the services. Class 102 is our National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) 100-hour professional certification program is a non-governmental program that does two things:The difference between a Certificate of completion and Professional Certification? Use of Credentials: The distinction between certificates and certifications is important when you consider the implications: According to accepted standards, holders of assessment-based certificates may NOT use letters or acronyms behind their names, nor may they use the word “certified” in describing their credentials. The use of letters, acronyms, and the word “certified” are reserved for holders of professional or personnel certifications as defined in the standard.
