The Angel Tree Football Clinic is Reborn as the Fierce Life Youth/NFL Alumni Northern California-FLY Football Camp! The Fierce Life Youth/NFL Alumni NorCal-FLY Football Camp represents the Relaunch of the former Angel Tree Football Clinic. Same great Camp, same structure, same amazing impact! Will You Join Us?2022 marks the launch of the Fierce Life Youth/NFL Alumni NorCal-FLY Football Camp (formerly the Angel Tree Football Clinic) and the initiation of the partnership between Fierce Life Youth and the NFL Alumni-Northern California!!  The  FLY Football Camp brings together 7-14-year-old boys & girls who have an incarcerated parent, hail from underserved communities, or have a number of extreme risk factors present in their lives, with high character, high-quality former College and NFL players for a day of football skills development, mentoring, teamwork, positive male role-modeling, leadership development, and just plain amazing fun. The 2022 FLY Football Camp will host 125-150 boys & girls from around the San Francisco Bay Area. The Angel Tree/NFL Alumni Northern California Football Clinic will once again be held at the Red Morton Community Park Complex, located at 1311 Madison Ave., Redwood City, CA.   What are the criteria to be a Volunteer Coach?  Do you have a background as a former College or Professional football player or current/former Professional, College, or High School Football Coach?  WE NEED YOU!  We need a minimum of 50 Volunteer Coaches to make the FLY Football Camp the best that it can be!   What is the role of a Volunteer Coach?   Can you give an encouraging word?  Can you slap 'em a "high five" when they make a catch or pat them on the back and tell them "great job" when they don't?  Do you remember those "Every Day Drills" that we used to consider pure drudgery? Well for boys like these, learning and performing those same drills with "Legends of the Game", like you, is fun, fun, fun!  Most important, the Volunteer Coaches' role is to lift the kids up...because sometimes when we lift a kid up, they discover the freedom and courage to dream big dreams!  What will the day look like?  Following the Football Drills, all the kids, coaches, volunteers, parents, and adult chaperones/caregivers will be treated to a hearty lunch and the signature FLY Football "Lifting Kids Up" Ceremony at the end of the day. What time do I need to be there? We request that volunteers arrive no later than 7:00 a.m.be ready to greet the kids when they arrive.  The event will end at approximately 3:00 p.m. Do I need to register in advance? YES! All Coaches must register in advance.  Due to the nature of the event, working with children, all volunteers will be background-checked. Volunteering on-site registration is not available.
