The 2022 Report examines Louisville’s on-going response to supporting housing stability during the current pandemic and offers a housing policy roadmap that builds on lessons learned during the pandemic and from other affordable housing policy efforts already in progress. The report highlights the fact that during the pandemic, public dollars funded efforts that increased housing stability and affordability on a grand scale. We know it is possible. We also know Louisville residents see affordable housing as a priority and voiced that when asked how Louisville should prioritize ARP funds. The report provides a detailed housing policy inventory that the future administration and councilmembers can use to guide and document Louisville Metro’s progress toward implementing a comprehensive housing policy strategy to increase residents’ access to safe, fair, and affordable housing.
