The report highlights the fact that during the pandemic, public dollars funded efforts that increased housing stability and affordability on a grand scale. We know it is possible. We also know Louisville residents see affordable housing as a priority and voiced that when asked how Louisville should prioritize ARP funds. The report provides a detailed housing policy inventory that the future administration and councilmembers can use to guide and document Louisville Metro’s progress toward implementing a comprehensive housing policy strategy to increase residents’ access to safe, fair, and affordable housing.
