Educators will learn about the social, emotional, and academic benefits of play and will have opportunities to model hands-on activities. Join The New York Public Library’s Center for Educators & Schools in this workshop about the importance of unstructured play for all students—from tots to teens. Educators will learn about the social, emotional, and academic benefits of play and will have opportunities to model hands-on activities. Discover simple ways to integrate games and playful ways to lead lessons. This event is free and open to all educators across grade levels, subjects, and school settings. Middle school and high school teachers are strongly encouraged to attend! This event will take place in-person in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library. Light refreshments will be served and attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes to help them kickstart a more playful classroom.
