Chicago Flyers Parents and Alumni Fundraiser! Let's reconnect and help a new generation of Chicago Flyers! Parents and CF Alumni, The Chicago Flyers are back and better than ever. This year’s group of kids is excited and enthusiastic and ready to run! The coaches, many of whom are Flyers alumni, are ready to share their love of the sport, their commitment to the team’s values, and the skills they have learned through their years of running. Youth track is different than it was when your kids were running. It is a more popular sport and there is a lot more competition in the city and suburbs. It is also much more expensive to manage a team. The cost to rent track time, participate in meets, pay coaches, insurance, managing the team, new uniforms while keeping the cost reasonable is a balancing act. We would like you to help us keep the team affordable to many while keeping up with the rising costs of managing a growing team. As we all know - The Flyers are also all about FUN. Friends of the Flyers are hosting a Fundraiser for Alumni runners and parents on June 16th at Grill 89. We would love to see everyone to have a drink (yes – some of your kids are of legal drinking age) and catch up and raise some money for the team. I hope that you can all agree that the Flyers was a great organization for your kids at the time they were involved. The team is still committed to its core values and its history of developing a passion for running in youth through excellent training, fun and team values. Help us continue this mission for the next group of young runners. We look forward to seeing you! Friends of the Flyers Why donate? To help us cover our rising costs. This year, we kept our fees reasonable as families eased back into athletics yet our costs have drastically increased. This is how you can help: $120 = lights at Spring Rock Park for November cross-country practice $250 = 1 of 3 sessions of Spring Clinic at Oak Brook Park District soccer turf. $350 = Pumpkins and awards for the Halloween Pumpkin practice! $480 = 4 practices on the Hinsdale Central track. $480 = lights at Spring Rock Park for Winter Running Club $500 = track rental at Downers Grove South for hosting our first meet June 15th. $500 = sponsorship of the parent/alumni fundraiser. $840 = a year of team manuals $3850 = cost of new sublimated uniforms Adults, $50/ per person and Alumni, $20/per person. Ticket includes appetizers and beer/wine/soda. To help us plan for the event, please respond in one of two ways.
