Learn how to create the foundational patterns of Zentangle® in this fun, relaxing class! Join us Sunday, June 5th at 1pm for a relaxing class! This beginner level class will teach you the foundations of Zentangle® drawing, which then can lead you to creating all sorts of wonderful creations! All materials provided. Zentangle® is an easy to learn drawing technique that creates beautiful art. It is taught in a structured, step by step method by drawing repetitive patterns, called “tangles”. Each drawing is unique – just like you! “Artistic” requirements for the class: if you can write your name, you will be able to do Zentangle® Your Instructor: Marinda Stopforth was introduced to the method of Zentangle® in 2010 by a friend and was immediately attracted to the beautiful patterns and designs that are called “tangles”. She wanted to learn more and became a Certified Zentangle® Teacher (CZT) in 2014 and has practiced and taught classes in groups and to individuals in a variety of settings. Everyone loved it! Marinda uses the Zentangle® method as an active meditation technique to clear her mind, and to give herself a creative boost. Once she earned a variety of tangles, she started to apply the technique to all of her other creative expressions – jewelry making, book making, gifts and cards….even in quilting! This class is BYOB for 21+ guests and outside food is allowed as well. Location: 1111 Burlington Avenue, Suite 101, Lisle, IL. Charming downtown Lisle has several restaurant options within walking distance of our studio and we have FREE parking at the studio. COVD Policy: Shiny Squirrel Art Studio adheres to current State of Illinois COVD guidelines/mandates for indoor public venues. Age: This particular class is geared towards adults, but we do plan to add Zentangle® classes geared towards kids as well. Class Minimum: Class minimum of 4 needs to be met by June 3rd go class to be a go. If class minimum not met, ticket holders will be issued a full refund. 14 spots available, which we think is a cozy yet sociable size for this class!
