Xtreme Intervention's goal is to provide workshops that empower young men and produce self efficacy.
It is the goal of Xtreme Intervention to provide workshops that encourage trauma awareness, team building, and conflict resolution. We want to also provide a level of support for young men, indigenous to their own community and the Chicagoland area, and make them aware of the myriad of options and resources available to them. We aim to give them tools that will help make great choices in life.
Friday night will consist of a general session with guest speaker and male advocate Pastor Michael Wright. We will use this time to encourage our men to be great, and understand the transition that takes place when matriculating from boys to men. In addition, we will have a parenting pannel discussion. We have invited several parents (single and two parent homes)from the Austin area. We will use this time to have a discussion centered around engaging our men successfully. And navigating through cultural dynamics.
Satuday we will engage in our sessions which will run from 10:00am - 2:00pm. These sessions topics are conflict resolution, being yourself, financial literacy, police community engagement, male grooming, trauma intervention, and post secondary education.
Please be advised that lunch will be served as well. We will be grilling that day for lunch. So, men I hope you will be hungry and have an appetite at lunch time.
Let's engage and become better together.
