Yoga With Friends: Spring Wine Down Yoga With Friends is an on-going series created by Ashley Williams @fashionfwd_ash for Black People who are looking to deepen their connection with self by strengthening their bodies through yoga and mindfulness practices. #YWF is a monthly meeting that seeks to build a community of like-minded individuals. Our May practice is a evening session that invites you to set aside some time for relaxation and a revival of positive energy. The Week Wine Down will help us shed the work week, connect with friends, and welcome in the weekend. For the month of May, we wanted to focus again on our intentions and personal goals for 2022. How have we grown? In what ways have we held on to old habits or tensions? How can we release resistance in our bodies, and generate more growth & change? Women, men, and non-binary folks are all welcome to participate. For this session we request Adults Only, please. Must be 21+ to drink. 🧘🏾♀️Yoga: Instructor Darcelle @mynaturalgold is bringing us a session based in healing and self-awareness. Plan to find clarity and relief as Darcelle's practice promises to leave you feeling grounded. We'll learn to connect breath with movement to help align the entire body and cultivate a calm stillness in the mind. As always, #YogaWithFriends sessions welcome relaxation and reflection, and encourage strength and expansion. Modify (take it easy!) or Dig Deeper (go hard!) when you feel necessary. Move AT YOUR OWN PACE. This practice is for ALL SKILL LEVELS! All you have to do is be open to trying. 🥂Mix and Mingle: After our session, you can look forward to a small grazing station and wine options to top off the "WineDown". We'll also take this time to share gratitude and positive affirmations. You can introduce yourself or share in the joy of the group with this exercise that usually encourages and uplifts the collective spirit. It's always a good time, and an opportunity to connect with our friends. Make plans to stay for a bit. ;) Bring your mat and a towel!! Arrive open and ready to receive. Remember to pack water if you think you'll need it. We're looking forward to stretching with you!
