24th Annual Grass Roots Wakeboard competition for all ages and abilities. This will be an action packed day to come out and watch. The 24th annual Wake in the Snake grassroots wakeboard competition is July 9th in Burley, Idaho. Bring your pop up tent, lawn chairs & enjoy an action packed day for the entire family. Hot dogs , hamburgers, shaved ice & ice cream cones will be for sale from the Pomerelle Ski Patrol. Mandatory pre-registration required. Preregister June 19th to July 7th and pay ONLY $45, onsite registration $75. Rider check in starts at 7:30 am. Mandatory rider's meeting at 8:30 am and the action starts at 9 am. First to register rides last & last to register rides first. When registering please enter the rider's name not the person paying. The event is limited to 50 riders due to time constraints. If the class that you want to register in shows as sold out please contact [email protected] to see if any adjustments can be made to the number in each class to accommodate everyone. They would like RV camping to be at the up river end of the parking lot rather than at the event site. They requested that we keep the event site open for event & golf course parking. They had mentioned last year that they may charge for overnight camping. There is no overnight camping allowed at the site but they make a special exception for our event. Please complete the Rider Bio form, print and provide a copy with your onsite registration. Rider Bio Form Running order for the comp (subject to change) For the 2022 season, divisions will continue to be based on an Age Range with the exception of the Open Women's & Open Men's divisions. 1. Veteran’s Men/Women (40 & over DOB has to be 7/07/82 or older) 2. Grom (11 & under, boys & girls combined) (DOB has to be 7/07/11 or younger) 3. Boys (12-15 years old) (DOB has to be between 7/07/07-7/07/10) 4. Jr. Women (12-15 years old) (DOB has to be between 7/07/07-7/07/10) 5. Jr. Men (16-20 years old) (DOB has to be between 7/07/02-7/07/06) 6. Men’s 1 (21-29 years old) (DOB has to be between 7/07/01-7/07/93) 7. Men’s 2 (30 & over) (DOB has to be 7/07/92 or older) 8. Open Women (any age) 9. Open Men (any age) Additional details on these Divisions will be forthcoming, but here are some of the rules of the competition format. 1. A rider’s age will need to be confirmed no later than 11:59pm Thursday, July 07, 2022. 2. There are no age restrictions for the Open Women's & Open Men’s divisions. 3. The division with the most competitors at the close of registrations will have a qualifying round to advance a predetermined number of riders to the Final round. The amount of riders advancing to the Final will be announced during the Riders Meeting. 4. A rider who competes in the Open Women's or Open Men's division may also be able to compete in their respective Age division provided there is no time constraints in the competition schedule. A rider choosing to participate in two different divisions will be required to pay a separate entrance fee for each division they compete in. 5. If requested, a rider will need to present a government issued photo I.D. to show proof of current age. A clear, photo-copy of such document may be used. 6. A rider can NOT compete in more than two (2) divisions. Bonus events, if conducted, such as a Double Up Contest at the end of the day, is not included in this rule. 7. There will be NO trick restrictions for any division, except that there will be a predetermined number of tricks that a rider may execute per pass. The max number of tricks per pass will be announced at the riders meeting. 8. Additional information will be presented at the mandatory Rider’s meeting, 30 minutes prior to the start of the competition. All riders will receive an event shirt, swag bag & a raffle ticket. The raffle for the riders will be held immediately after the event awards ceremony. Rider's must be present to win the raffle items. Every rider will win a raffle item. We will have yard games & trivia throughout the day with prizes.
