Description
FRAMINGHAM, MA - Framingham police on Friday arrested a 33-year-old Waltham man suspected of selling golf clubs stolen from Golf Galaxy on Worcester Road in Framingham in recent weeks and marketing them online.
Police said detectives were able to identify items being sold through various online marketplaces, matching those from the thefts from Golf Galaxy. During their investigation, the suspect was identified as Johnny Mccloskey, 33, of Waltham.
Detectives, utilizing an undercover officer, set up an operation in order to purchase the stolen goods from the suspect. The suspect sold the undercover officer two golf clubs, at which time he was placed in custody.
Immediately following the arrest of the suspect, Framingham, Natick and Waltham detectives executed a search warrant on the suspect's home in Waltham, where they were able towere able to recover several more items associated with the thefts, according to police.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
