Northshore School District schools were well represented at DECA's International Career Development conference and competition in Atlanta last month. Congratulations to all the student participants for their outstanding accomplishments! The competitions are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios and test students' academic understanding and skill development. This event showcased more than 18,000 students from 4,000 high schools representing all of North America.
A total of 46 Woodinville High School students went with the hopes to achieve DECA Glass (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place). Out of the 46 students, 23 received recognition for their performance, 17 made it to the final round, nine placed in the top 10, and three got the Glass. North Creek High School sent 30 competitors, 10 students earned recognition, and 6 top-10 finalists, including a team that earned DECA Glass (first ever for North Creek), by finishing 2nd overall. Inglemoor High School also represented at the international competition with 14 students, and two students were finalists.
