Join us in the garden for friends, music, and a celebration of 10 years of CFFL! Please join us in the garden on Sunday, June 12 for a very special celebration of 10 years of the Centre de Formation Fritz Lafontant, our agricultural school in Haiti! Enjoy the evening breeze as you meet with friends, wander the garden pathways, and eat, drink, shop, and learn more about CFFL and what it means to the people of Haiti’s Central Plateau…all under nature’s green canopy. Our featured artist for the evening is naturalist photographer Ben Geer Keys, whose works you can purchase with proceeds supporting the school. It Began with a Dream Can you believe that dreams actually DO come true? And sometimes they only take about 10 years?! For so many young people in the Plateau Central the dream of continuing their education to achieve a better life in their rural communities was just that - a DREAM. And then along came CFFL – the Centre de Formation Fritz Lafontant, an agricultural school dedicated to enriching communities through education and community outreach. In 2012 the doors to this wonderful building were opened, and the doors to a better life for hundreds of new students were thrown wide open to learning and achievement. AND HERE WE ARE TODAY!!! CFFL has since graduated over 200 students, and through the community outreach it enables, has made a difference in the lives of many thousands of people. Thank you for all you have helped us to accomplish! This celebration is also in your honor.
