Press release from the City of Ankeny: May 18, 2022 On Monday, May 16, 2022, at approximately 11:26 a.m. Ankeny Police went to 910 NE 5th St. for a four-year-old female with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital, where she died of her injuries. The victim is identified as Savannah Holmes (age 4). No more information will be released until Ankeny Detectives have finished the investigation. This is an isolated incident; there is no danger to the public.
