Press release from Upper St. Clair School District: May 20, 2022 The 2021-22 School Calendar has a scheduled Early Dismissal day for students on last day of the school year -- Thursday, June 9, 2022. Students will be dismissed as follows: High School: 10:55 a.m.Elementary Schools: 11:30 a.m. (kindergarten info below)Middle Schools: 11:55 a.m. All students in the school district will be dismissed after attending a half-day of school. This is different from other Early Release Days for Open House, Celebration of Learning and/or S.T.A.R. Night, when students are released two hours before the end of the school day. A to-go lunch will be available for all students to take home with them.Morning Kindergarten: regular start-9:45 a.m.All morning kindergarten students will be picked up in the morning according to their regular bus schedule. Students will be dismissed at 9:45 a.m. (rather than the usual 11 a.m. dismissal). A newly created bus run will take a.m. kindergarten students home. Afternoon Kindergarten: 9:45-11:30 a.m. All afternoon kindergarten students will attend UNDER A MODIFIED KINDERGARTEN SCHEDULE. Students will arrive at 9:45 a.m. A newly created bus run will bring students to school. Students will depart on their regular bus at 11:30 a.m. with grades 1-4. Extended Day Services (EDS) (The information below is copied from the Extended Day Services Parent Handbook. Please contact the EDS staff for more information.) Early Dismissals (page 13) What if school is dismissed early due to Open House or teacher in-service? On district-planned early dismissal days, we operate our After School Program from the time of dismissal until 6:00 PM. Unless you notify us, we anticipate your child will attend the after school program if an early dismissal occurs on a day your child is normally scheduled to attend. If your child is normally scheduled to attend on an early dismissal day, you will see an additional charge on your statement for the additional hours. As with all tuition, if your child is scheduled to attend on one of these days and he is absent, the charge is non-refundable. Days of Operation (page 17) On which days do the programs operate? In the K-Plus and Before & After-School Programs,our programs operate during school days, teacher in-service days and early dismissal days from the first day of school through the last day of school. On days when school is delayed due to snow, programs will also be delayed by 2 hours and will operate an extended morning program until the start of the school day.Our programs do not operate during school holidays, vacations, or days when school has been cancelled due to weather.
