Enter the wonderful world of wool! We'll create a family of birds, plus a snug nest for them to reside in- all by needle felting with wool. Create a sweet family* of birds, complete with a needle felted nest for them to snuggle in!See what the all the rage is about- needle felting is fast becoming a popular art form for experienced artists and creators, as well as for those who don't consider themselves creative. Upon completing the workshop, participants will have made a nest and several adorable birds to nestle inside it. We'll cover the basics of needle felting including tools and materials, sculpting, attaching, smoothing, and more. All materials are provided. The Salty Owl Studio is located on the second floor (up 2 flights of stairs) in an historic building. Please reach out prior to the workshop if you need accommodations. This workshop is designed for people ages 8 and up, and requires advanced fine motor skills and dexterity that may be a challenge for some younger kiddos. Class registration includes materials for 3 birds and one nest.
