Astound Broadband says it will give customers affected by outages a month's worth of credit on their bills.
In an email sent to customers, the telecommunications company said it "missed the mark" in providing the level of service its customers deserve and should expect.
For that, the email said, "we sincerely apologize."
The company says the one-month credit will be reflected in Indiana and Illinois customers' June bills.
Astound said the root cause of the outages earlier this month was a server that failed to authorize certain customer devices during the switchover from WOW to Astound.
Some customers lost service for several days.
Astound acquired WOW last year.
