Deaconess Health System is celebrating high rankings in a new analysis.
The online service Healthgrades.com ranked Deaconess first in Indiana for Critical Care, Pulmonary Care, and Stroke Care.
Deaconess also ranked in the top five in the state for Joint Replacement and was named among America's 250 Best Hospitals for the third year in a row.
Healthgrades evaluated the clinical performance of nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide on eight key specialties in chronic, urgent, and planned clinical areas.
In a release, Deaconess CEO Shawn McCoy said to be recognized as the best in the state during the COVID-19 pandemic is a "testament" to employees' determination to save the lives of patients in our community, as well as those transferred from throughout the Midwest.
Consumers can visit healthgrades.com for more information on how the group measures hospital quality.
