DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN — Summer's (nearly) here and the time is right for dancing in the street, parade organizers say. Thousands of dancers doing Bolivian Salay, Japanese Yosakoi and the Lindy Hop — just to name a few — will take to the streets of downtown Manhattan Saturday for New York City's 16th annual Dance Parade. The parade features 10,000 dancers performing more than 100 styles of dance — among them, Hip Hop, Conga Santiaguera and the succinctly named "weirdos." Here's what you need to know. Where The parade kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 20th Street and Broadway with remarks from Mayor Eric Adams. Dancers will then parade down Broadway, past Union Square Park to University Place, hang a left at East Eighth Street and end at Tompkins Square Park. There will be a Grand Stand at Fourth Avenue and East Eighth Street and a dance fest in Tompkins Square Park. When The ribbon cutting begins at 11:45 a.m., dancers parade from noon to 4 p.m. and the Tompkins Square Park dance fest starts at 3 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m. Street ClosuresOpening Ceremony:21st Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue South20th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue South Broadway between 23rd Street and 21st Street Route:Broadway between 21st Street and 17th StreetUnion Square West between 17th Street and 14th StreetUniversity Place between 14th Street and 8th Street8th Street between University Place and 3rd AvenueSt. Mark's Place between 3rd Avenue/Astor Place and Avenue AAvenue A between 7th Street and 10th Street Dispersal:Avenue A between 10th Street and 12th Street10th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B7th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B Miscellaneous:8th Street between University Place and 5th AvenueClosure: At the discretion of NYPD Who This year's grand marshals are Heidi Latsky, Rich Medina and Eduardo Vilaro.
