Press release from the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce: May 19, 2022 As part of the schedule of events for the 2022 United Way Classic, the United Way of Fort Smith Area (UWFSA), in partnership with The Majestic, Arkansas Poly, and Propak, is bringing The Klocks to Fort Smith. On Thursday, June 9th The Klocks will be in concert at The Majestic on Garrison. The doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 8:30pm. You can purchase tickets in advance online at majesticfortsmith.com or at the door. The cost is $10 per ticket. All proceeds will benefit the UWFSA and its participating Community Partner Agencies. The Klocks are a four-piece TOP-40 Dance Variety Rock n Roll band from San Antonio, Texas. They specialize in TOP-40 Cover songs. From today's current hits all the way thru to the '70s, plus Rap, Country, Latin, and more. We are excited to partner with the Majestic Fort Smith to host The Klocks during this year's United Way Classic. This will be a fun-filled night of entertainment in Downtown Fort Smith, so we encourage the community to come out and enjoy live music while supporting local agencies throughout our area, said Shea Foldvary, President/CEO of United Way of Fort Smith Area. 64.6 Downtown is excited to work with United Way to cross-promote activities that bring arts & culture to downtown Fort Smith. We encourage citizens and visitors to the River Valley to attend the Levitt AMP Fort Smith Music on June 9th from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The Western Arkansas Ballet will be opening for the indie-folk-rock band Dawson Hollow, then head over to The Majestic Fort Smith to hear The Klocks, said Talicia Richardson, Executive Director of 64.6 Downtown. The 3rd annual United Way Classic, presented by Cherokee Casino and Hotel Roland & Legends Resort & Casino Arkansas, will be held June 6th – 11th, 2022, at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith. The tournament will feature over 140 PGA hopefuls as they compete for the grand prize of $25,000. United Way was selected and given an opportunity to host the All Pro Tour (APT) beginning in 2020. Since then, the United Way Classic has raised over $145,000 for local non-profit partner agencies of United Way! In addition to the money raised for partner agencies, the estimated economic impact for Fort Smith was well over $1,000,000 when adding family members, caddies, and friends to the mix during the 6-day event.
