Pacific Motion Dance Center, a fast-growing studio located in San Marcos, CA, is looking to hire additional part-time dance instructors (ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre, acro, etc.) to join our amazing team! The mission of Pacific Motion is not only to develop excellence in dance but also to encourage excellence in life. We have created an environment that is nurturing; where respect, collaboration and friendships matter and where fun is the status quo. We train dancers at all levels, including those who wish to dance professionally and those who love to dance recreationally. In alignment with our mission, applicants will be expected to: • Possess a fun, energetic personality and a sincere desire to guide children. • Recognize that each child is unique and have a willingness to invest in every child at every step of her/his dance journey. • Have an ability to handle a variety of classroom situations with creativity, patience and grace. • Engage and connect with our incredible dance families who represent the true heart of our organization. • Maintain a willingness to work on a team in a collaborative environment, as we believe that strength is derived from unity. • Choreograph numbers for two shows annually. Requirements/Qualifications • Weekday availability (class times vary) • Formal background in dance. • Degree in dance, enrollment in a dance degree program or at least three years of experience teaching dance. • Effective communication skills.
