Hello, I am a 32 year old multi-instrumentalist. I play percussion, drum kit, guitar and bass, as well as produce at an amateur level. I am looking for other artists to start a band with. The idea is to be rhythm-centric, with multiple people on percussion, kind of like Stomp. So looking for people to team up with me on the rhythm end, creating a percussion heavy sound. Looking for singers or dancers to front the band! If you feel at home being front and center, and you're interested in something like this, please send a message. All other types of artists/instrumentalists are welcome to inquire. Chemistry is really the key so it's not necessarily about skill level. Though I do not want to be exclusive, it's probably best to only work together if you have a similar goal. That goal being to perform shows and begin or further your career as a performing artist. I do not have a great practice space, but we could hopefully meet in public spaces to practice, such as City Park or the Bayou. Or if we get serious we could look for a more ideal setting. Ok so to re-iterate: Drummer looking for other percussionists, singers, dancers, instrumentalists, to start a band, play a lot of shows around town, and hopefully tour eventually. Probably practicing in public spaces for the time being. Here is a link to two songs. The first is a more produced song. This kind of thing would be possible if we had 3 percussionists, someone on a melodic instrument like keys or guitar, and some mixing equipment. The second is a dry rough draft of a rhythm we could create with two or three percussionists. I imagine another instrument, singer or dancer taking the top off of this one.
