Description

Libby and Enya are Brindled Pitahoulas needing new homes. I placed them last December and they were returned yesterday (5/20) They are about 10 months old and were returned because the first owners were not prepared for the activity level they display. They are loving and like to snuggle and give kisses. Catahoulas are used for herding, hunting, watchdogs (my vet said these would be his picks of the litter because of their alertness) and even water rescue. The previous owner said they like to swim. They have webbed feet for swap hunting. They are the same height as their mother already. She is 65 pounds. The girls will be heavier when mature. I expect them to be about 70-75 pounds. Their grandmother was 87. The Catahoula is extremely smart breed and you must be willing to be a pack leader. The Pit genes have given them their color and they both have the looks of the greyhound, one of the breeds ancestors. Both of these pups have strong prey drives and would make excellent hog hunting dogs once they reach two years of age. Catahoulas and Pits are best as single dogs when training them. They are extremely loyal to their person. I prefer that you only take one of them so they can get used to being obedient to their owner. Call or text me at
