Its been a learning experience.
First i know now how buskers do not make good musicians for a band.
I didn't even know what that was till i tried being successful in bringing them cats together..
And the whole VFW thing.
Playing at vfws is just as unrewarding as being a single moms boyfriend.
looks like you have different sized places..
-little shit bars
-medium sized clubs with a stage.
-gigantic arenas like Amalie.
even if it takes driving under joe bidden"s democrat 5$ gas policy.
and then you have the old farts, lots and lots of old farts who are to old to look for gigs, or anything that would help your band excel.
and the drummer who brings a Neil P sized rig to a Castaways jam.
yes, and C list dudes who are 40 years in and bitter to the point of being hard to work with.
thanks for letting me rant. ive learned a lot.
