Hey! I’m moving back to Boston this summer (next week actually!) and am looking to put a band together for gigs. I’ve lived and played in LA, San Diego, Boston, Wisconsin & Austin and need to keep the good musical vibes going. About me: I play guitar (for the sake of being able to play shows…not a virtuoso!) my strong suits are singing, writing, & rapping. I’ve got a number of songs written that I am set to record this summer so we’d be playing originals, I’m down for collaboration/making new tunes, and playing covers. The styles of music I play/enjoy the most are - rock (at the drive-in, the stooges, nirvana, jeff buckley, the doors) - hip hop( a tribe called quest, pete rock & cl smooth, think golden age hip hop/ jazzamental, xxxtentacion, and some trap heavy bass style) - jazz (ella fitzgerald, sarah vaughn, dinah washington) - and just Amy Winehouse in general! Looking to play venues like The Middle East (i’ve got a friend in booking there!), Alibi (played here), Lizard Lounge (played here), club passim…you get the picture! what i’m looking for: -lead guitarist -bassist -drummer -keys -horns! i don’t have a rehearsal space just yet so if you do that’s a total plus! i will pay each player for all gigs even if it ends up being out-of-pocket. I’m really looking to jam/perform with people who love music love to perform and are willing to put in the work to make us great! willing to travel outside of the city if need be! message me if interested! - Karunā
