Since its founding in 1974, Friends of Guest House has helped more than 5,000 women break the vicious cycle of incarceration, reunite with their families, and reintegrate into their communities. Kari Galloway, the longest-serving Executive Director of Friends of Guest House, is retiring at the end of June after a 17-year tenure, having had an extraordinary impact on the lives of hundreds of formerly incarcerated women in Northern Virginia. The Host Committee offers individuals, the opportunity to make a specially recognized contribution of $250 to Kari's Retirement Party as well as be directly engaged in the festivities. Host Committee contributions will be included in the Kari Galloway Programming Fund -- supporting a new initiative to provide on-site substance use and mental health therapy as well as other program needs.
