Christian Business Association of the Palm Beaches Breakfast with Guest Speaker - Ruth Mageria
Ruth Mageria is the Executive Director of CROS Ministries, whose mission is to serve the hungry in Palm Beach and Martin Counties through community collaborations. Ruth has been on the staff of CROS for 21 non-consecutive years.
Ruth is the president of the Nonprofit Chamber of Palm Beach County. She previously served as the chair of the Association of Agency Executives, and was an ex-officio member of the board of directors of the United Way of PBC. She served on the Criminal Justice subcommittee of the City of West Palm Beach Mayor’s Taskforce on Racial and Ethnic Equality. She serves on the local board of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), the Lighthouse Café in Belle Glade and Leadership Palm Beach County’s Finance Committee. Originally from Kenya, Ruth continues to facilitate workshops in East Africa as a consultant with the Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Ruth holds a B.A. in Education and Biblical Studies from Daystar University, Kenya, an M. Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Towson University, Baltimore and received a Certificate in Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management from Harvard Business School. She is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, Class of 2015. Ruth is a volunteer mentor with the Caps & Cribs, Teen Mom Mentoring Program through Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies. She lives in West Palm Beach and is the proud mother of James, a UCF Knight!
