Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! It is once again time for your favorite annual Circus celebration!
Circus Day at the Museum 2022!
With support from our incredible sponsors at the Orange County Community Foundation, Inc., Circus Fans Association of America, Visit French Lick West Baden, and International Circus Hall of Fame, we are excited to announce more fun and games than ever before!
We are so happy to have many exciting experiences, with food trucks, bounce houses, live performances, carnival games, candy, booths and so much more, it is destined to be a great time for everyone!
Our annual Circus Day celebrates the life of the 86 performers of the Hagenbeck Wallace Circus who lost their lives in the Great Train Wreck of 1918. But as they say, the show must go on!
During the celebrations, we will have a Broken Wheel Ceremony, a Circus ritual where the broken spoke of a Circus wagon wheel represents those lost from the show. This will be in honor of the lives lost, and we ask as many to attend as possible, to truly honor those brave performers.
So come and celebrate the fantastical art of the Circus, while supporting your favorite local museum!
