Presented by Kelsie Fields Gender by Us is a tool founded in research that raises awareness of implicit bias and gender norms and their impact on our lives. It also provides individuals with the opportunity to reflect, discuss, and take action so that we can build more equitable and inclusive organizations together. Gender By Us was created by The Women's Fund of Central Ohio, a public foundation focused on creating gender equity and closing the gender wealth gap. Through its strategic grant-making, groundbreaking research, and bold advocacy, The Women's Fund of Central Ohio delivers on its mission to transform the lives of women and girls by mobilizing the collective power and passion of all people working together. During the presentation, we will cover: -What The Women's Fund does and how it uses research to advance gender equity -Why equity work matters for fundraisers -Definitions and exploration of gender norms, intersectionality, and implicit bias -Engaging activities to help you think about how gender norms have affected your own life -Examples of gender norms and implicit bias in society -Group discussion and reflection on the topic and the opportunity to create a personal action plan Gender By Us is an interactive conversation-starter, so come prepared to discuss, learn, and ultiamtely have fun! Pending Approval for 1.25 CFRE CE credits. Due to space limitations, registration is limited to first come, first served. Pre-registration required. The first 30 minutes are dedicated to networking. The session will begin promptly at 12:00pm. Guests are encouraged to bring your own lunch to enjoy during the event. There are several restaurants in the same plaza as CoHatch if you'd like to pick something up before the event!
