Week 1: Pie Week: May 30, 2022 Double-crust pies, blind-baking, crumb crusts, pie dough decorations, and how to jazz up traditional fillings. This week we’re keeping things seasonal with a lattice-top strawberry-rhubarb pie and a fun take on classic banoffee pie, with bananas, cream, and toffee layered into a sweet cookie crust. Week 2: Cookie Week: June 6, 2022 Cookie science, ingredient ratios, and how to get the texture just right! This week we’re baking XL chocolate chunk cookies, classic shortbread bars, and lace sandwich cookies. Three recipes with techniques and ratios that you’ll use again and again. Week 3: Savory Baking: June 13, 2022 Savory elements take center stage in this class. Learn bread baking basics with an Italian classic, focaccia, and a simple way to make the most of spring and summer produce with grilled flatbread. Both are delicious and versatile staples that can be used for sandwiches, dipping, or pizza. Week 4: Cake Week: June 20, 2022 Baking a cake from scratch can be intimidating! This week aims to demystify cake baking and offers versatile batter techniques to transform homemade creations. Together, we will make chocolate Bundt cakes topped with a ribbon of thick fudge icing.
