Description
The Newark Board of Education’s Office of Pupil Transportation is looking to hire a Coordinator of School Transportation Services.
The Qualifications and Requirements of the position are the following:
1. Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree.
2. Three (3) years of supervisory experience involving the organization, planning, direction and scheduling of mass passenger transportation services.
3. Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
NOTE: Candidates who do not meet the above educational requirements may substitute additional work experience as described below on a year for year basis.
NOTE: Appointees may be required to possess a Pupil Transportation Supervisors Program Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.
