Responsibilities: Perform general assembly and packing labor and machine operation with manufacturing/production equipment in a safe and productive fashion including strapping/packaging equipment, uncoilers, and more. Lift, position, and remove work pieces from machines to assist in fitting and packaging Operate banding tool and saw while packaging finished products Hold tape measuring and other measuring devices to perform dimensional verification of finished products Assist line operator in record keeping of production and material utilization Load, stack, and transport stock by hand or truck Clean up and trim material preparatory to manufacturing, packaging, or shipping Pick up, stacks and straps scrap from work area Perform general shop floor clean up Performs other routine duties Observes safety and uses equipment and materials properly Frequently lift or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Qualifications: No experience necessary - we train on the job! Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment highly preferred! While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks (like Forklifts). Able to perform basic math (adding, subtracting) and be able to read a ruler.
