Create stunning jewelry using surprising materials! Join us in making super cute jewelry you can wear the same day, or give as gifts. Bring your bestie or sweetie and create an original piece of jewelry using salvaged leather and repurposed metal tins! Each ticket includes: ALL SUPPLIES needed to create your one-of-a-kind creations! Repurposed metal tins, leather skins in various colors & textures, waxed cord for necklaces, earring wires, jump rings, drawing supplies and templates As always, you also get use of all of our nice jewelry tools: Tin snips, leather shears, pliers, leather glue, sandpaper, metal files, hammers, metal and leather punches, work gloves and safety goggles. Carolyn brings everything you need for all kinds of crafty fun. There will be a limited number of spots, sign up in advance! NOTE: Please read and agree to the terms below: Hammers, shears, needles and other craft tools will be used during this workshop. Attendees will be instructed on appropriate safety guidelines and will be provided eye protection and gloves for use during the workshop. METAL IS SHARP (!!) and accidents do happen. Former Creative Director and Jewelry Designer for Fossil, she traded the corporate world to focus on creative experiences. Carolyn facilitates Maker Programs at The Perot Museum of Nature and Science and she also guides families in the creative process during Open Studio at the Dallas Museum of Art. Committed to putting less waste in the world, she shapes projects based on material donations received and re-purposes old or worn items into something new.
